During the recent work on developing calculation strategies, the children within Mrs Jones' maths group spent time on developing their knowledge of exchanging by working on addition calculations involving  three and Four digit numbers. Time was spent on exploring exchanging ones, tens, hundreds and thousands, and linking the calculation method to place value and exchanging.
