Year 4 Maths - Subtraction

Lesson: Maths

This week, pupils in Mrs Jones' maths group began looking at subtracting two 4 digit numbers. We looked at using exchanges to help when subtracting and used place value grids and counters to represent the calculations. The children subsequently went on to practise using formal written calculation for these operations.
