Year 3 with Actor John Kirk.

Lesson: Literacy

Year 3 have been reading a book by Terry  Deary called War Game.  It is a wonderful story about the British and German soldiers, who challenged each other to a game of football on Christmas Day during WW1.  Today the children walked to Wilmslow library to meet a real life storyteller called John Kirk.  John brought the words from the book, War Game, to life, using costume, props and characterisation.  The children were enthralled by the performance and are looking forward to bringing a character to life in their next WOW write.
