Winter Haiku
Lesson: English
Last week in English, the children learnt about haikus. First, they looked at the structure and discovered that a haiku is a type of poem with is 3 lines long. By studying the structure they realised that haikus rarely rhyme however, they have 5 syllables on the first and third line and seven syllables on the second line. Finally, they wrote their own winter haikus. Below is a video of the children reciting their favourite haiku which they wrote. Well done 3R, your haikus are fantastic!
