Week 2 in 2M!

We have all had a very busy week indeed! All the staff team have been so impressed with their hard work and attitude to learning. 

In Maths, we have been exploring place value for numbers up to 100, using concrete resources and pictorial representations. In English this week, we created our own expanded noun phrases and used a variety of tricky conjunctions to extend our ideas when writing about the different settings from our story The River, written by Max Martin. In Science, we began investigating different materials. We had great discussions with our partners and practised using some new vocabulary such as 'rigid' and 'transparent'. We got to explore the library today and pick a book to take home, written by some wonderful authors. We even spotted some Roald Dahl books- the author who wrote our class story 'James and the Giant Peach!' Have little look at some photos of what we have been up to...
