We are dino detectives!
Lesson: EYFS
What an exciting day we have had today! This morning whilst working hard on our handwriting we heard that R2 had found some dinosaur eggs, lucky them! Inspired by this in the afternoon we decided to think of all the different animals that came out of eggs. We decided that just in case we should have a sneaky look outside to see if any other dinosaurs had been to visit. We crept down the junior corridor being careful not to disturb the juniors or let them know what we were hunting for (we didn't want them getting there first now did we?)
We were so excited to find a nest nestled in the trees with 3 dinosaur eggs inside!! We looked at them carefully and listened to see if we could hear anything inside. We decided that the best thing to do would be to take them to keep them warm but the whole class were most concerned that if the Mummy dinosaur came that she might be sad that her babies were gone and so they decided that we should write to her (all their own idea!) While we looked at the eggs and wrapped them safely the children decided what they wanted to say.
Well done R1, Miss Humphreys was so impressed at your idea to write independently! You really are super dinosaur detectives and I am sure you will take great care of the eggs. We wonder what we will see over the next few days? How exciting!
