“Total”ly Brilliant Money Work

In Year Two, we have been revising money and specifically how to make totals using different coins. For instance, Halle made 16p by using 10p and three 2p pieces where as Ram made 16p by using 1p and three different 5p pieces. The children were challenged to find two different ways to create each total before moving onto other stipulations such as only using three coins or by finding the smallest possible combination of coins.
