Tomb Raiders: Howard Carter and the Lacey Green Pyramid!

The children in Year Two have been looking at Ancient Egypt and the marvels that period of history contains. We were particularly keen that the children experience what life has an Egyptologist would have been like when Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamen 92 years ago. To do this we concocted a tomb from tables and tablecloths and filled this with different "ancient" artefacts which the children had brought in. After experiencing what life as an Egyptologist  would be like and crawling through the tomb, the children then returned to their classrooms to sketch the various artefacts on display.
