Thinking like an author

Year 2 looked at our model text today and identified the different features used. We talked about the use of questions, repeated phrases, noun phrases and phrases used to help move the story on. We discussed the author's language choices and thought of our own examples to use in our independent writing this week. We really had to think like the author!
