Theseus and the Minotaur

Last week we have been looking at the Ancient Greek myth 'Theseus and the Minotaur'. First of all we listened to a radio play of the story whilst drawing a picture of our favourite scene and then we excitedly became films stars as we went onto the field to film our own version of the myth in our English groups. Each group was appointed a director who did the filming and the rest of the children did the acting. We then showed these to the class at the end of the days to roaring howls of laughter! On Friday we watched a version edited with music by Mr Myers and enjoyed one child's amazing robot dancing. This helped us with our independent WOW writing which was a retelling of the myth. For homework we drew and a comic strip. Our work with Theseus and the Minotaur will help when we write our very own myth next week. WOW writing to follow.
