The Grinch

Yesterday we read the story 'The Grinch who stole Christmas' by Dr. Seuss. We really enjoyed the story and discussed the meaning of the book in depth. We talked about the message it shows and were most relieved that the Grinch learns what the true meaning of Christmas is before the book! For most of the story, however, he is not so good! We watched a video to learn how to draw him and then had a go for ourselves. We then used a thesaurus on the iPads to find words to describe him and looked carefully at what they meant to decide if they were appropriate choices. We did a fantastic job!
