Tell me a dragon

For the next couple of weeks we will be looking at dragons, in particular, the book How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell. 

To start our unit of work off we read 'Tell Me a Dragon' written and illustrated by Jackie Morris. The children were overawed by some of the beautiful words and pictures on show and we based our work on this and created our very own dragons. First we compiled a list of incredible vocabulary from the book. After that we made notes about what our dragons would look, act and be like.

Finally we went on the app Art Set on the iPads and created our Dragons. Some of these pieces of artwork are sensational and it is clear that the children real enjoyed themselves and put in a lot of effort.
