Tasting astronaut food

As part of our topic work we have been learning about astronauts and their roles. Lots of the children had ideas about what astronauts do but had no idea what life as an astronaut would be like. We aren't so sure we fancy it now!

We tried some dried fruits and then got to taste astronaut ice cream. Ask your children what it tasted like, quotes such as "it feels a bit dusty", "it tasted nothing and then in popped the flavour" and "it melted in your mouth" were heard. 

Some of us don't look too impressed!
