Big Question : What is the most significant part of the Christmas Nativity to Christians today?

This week pupils began their RE unit on Christianity. They began to consider symbols and what they are used for. We discussed lots of symbols the children were aware of, both religious and secular. They enjoyed identifying lots of symbols in their environment and also online symbols and logos.

The children then went on to learn about the symbols of the Christian Nativity such as the stable, the gifts, the star etc and enjoyed crafting their own tree decoration based on one of the Christian symbols.
