Supertato to the rescue!
Lesson: English
What a week we have had in Reception! On Tuesday the Evil Pea from the fabulous book 'Supertato' was on the loose. He came in and attacked Miss Humphreys' and Miss Rowark's vegetables and then fled the scene. The children made some great 'Wanted' posters to try and capture him. We thought he must have gone because on Wednesday he was nowhere to be seen but what a mess we came into on Thursday. The Evil Pea had trapped some more of our fruit and vegetables under a shopping basket (just like in the story), he'd frozen some of our carrots in the water tray, made a web and left lots of the vegetables underneath it and had trapped some of our sprouts in a bottle. All of that was just in the Reception classrooms. He even stuck a carrot to the fish tank and tangled up our cucumber and left him in the office!
We were quick to take action though and have done some amazing letter writing to try and tell the Evil Pea to be kind and to stay away from our veggies. The children freed the carrots from the ice and have even made some amazing supertatos themselves just in case he should ever try to come back .
