Super Speedy Readers!

In Year 1, we are working hard to read accurately and fluently. During our Phonics and Shared Reading sessions, we have been focusing on using 'Fred in your head' to read speedily.

During these sessions, we also learn how to read tricky red words such as 'they', 'said' and 'your'. We can spot the tricky sounds in these words.

This half term, we have also been learning to read words with suffixes, such as 'ing' and multisyllabic words such as 'daylight'.  

We are working hard to become speedy and fluent readers!
