Science Hunt

Lesson: Science

In Year 2 we have started our Science topic for the term: Living Things and their Habitats

This week we teamed up as whole year group and became explorers for the afternoon. We were on the hunt for living and non-living things. We worked in pairs for the hunt and took pictures using the iPads to record what we found. We made pic collages of the objects we found and split them into the 2 groups Living and Non-Living. 

While we were on our hunt we needed to think about how we knew some of these things were alive. 

We found out that there were 7 things that living things can do or need to do. 

M- movement 

R- respiration

S- sensitivity (to the world around us)

N- nutrition

E- excretion

R- reproduction

G- growth
