Safer Internet day

Lesson: Information and communication technology

In year one we thought about ways to stay safe on the Internet.

We discussed how important it is to tell an adult if something appears on screen that we are unsure about.

Then we designed a poster telling others how to be safe on line.

Next we read the story, 'Chicken Clicking,' by Jeanne Willis and Tony Ross which highlighted the dangers of chatting to strangers on line and meeting up with them.

The children used their iPads to retell the story, drawing their own pictures and recording themselves telling the story.
