Lesson: History

This week Year 1, we learnt all about Queen Victoria. We learnt lots of interesting facts about her including how many children she had and how tall she was. Take a look at our fantastic history learning below, to find out more about Queen Victoria. 

Elsewhere this week, we have been practising our phonics, focusing on speedy reading. Our two sounds for this week were 'aw - yawn at dawn' and 'are - care and share'. We tried hard to spell some of the words we had learnt to read.

In Maths, we learnt how to count in 2s, 5s and 10s. We started to understand more about multiplication, focusing on adding equal groups. 

In English, we focused on using suffixes and spelling the days of the week correctly.
