Poetry Week in Year 2

Lesson: English

This week Year Two are looking at poetry in their English lessons. All the children piled into Mrs Oldfield's classroom and we shared different poems from different poets, some of which the children have provided for their English homework. The children thought these were very funny and really enjoyed Mrs Oldfield's telling of these poems. We also learnt the popular primary school song Autumn Days in preparation for our Harvest Festival assembly.

The next day the children took part in an Autumn walk around the school grounds taking Autumnal picture of the things they could see around them and describing them using interesting vocabulary.
