Planning and Creating Snowmen decorations in R1

This week in R1 we have been extremely busy for DT week. The children began the week by thinking about Christmas decorations and what we have around our homes to make it feel 'Christmassy'. Then we looked at designer Subodh Gupta to think about the process of how we can make our own Christmas sculptures. The children did a great job of cutting out information about Gupta and then designed what they would like their snowmen sculptures to look like. Then the fun really began when we started building and creating our snowmen using a range of resources and skills. We are looking forward to displaying the finished products on Monday for everyone to see and then bringing them home to put somewhere special.
