This week, Year Three have been writing about the famous fossil collector, Mary Anning. These story maps represent a brief, but miraculous moment in Mary's life where she discovered a fossil sticking out of a slab of slate which when uncovered was the first ichthyosaur to have ever been found. The children used these are the basis for a diary entry describing the moment she discovered the fossil.
