Making Toy Cars

Lesson: Design and technology

As part of our materials project Class Six have been looking at different types of cars and designing and making their own toy cars out of wood. So far we have researched different cars on the iPads, created a variety of different designs and used saws to create the bodies and axels of our cars. We are only partway through our project and hope to finish it next half term. 

Class Six have now finished their cars and were delighted by the results. It was a long process researching and designing them properly, learning to saw, creating the body and finally evaluating what we would do differently next time, but now they are completed and the children were eager to take them home to show them off.
