Making Remembrance Day posters

Lesson: British Values

Yesterday we thought about Remembrance Day and what it is all about. A number of the children had been involved in parades over the weekend and could tell us about their experience. We talked about why we pause to think on both Remembrance Sunday and on the 11th November and discussed the symbolism of poppies. We worked in groups to present some of the facts we had remembered onto a poster and we then presented these to the class. We will think about all we have learned when we pause to remember on Wednesday.
