Little Red Hen, her friend and R2...

Over the past two weeks we have had some special visitors that are small, feathery and quite noisy! And no it’s not Miss Rowark and Mrs Trasler wearing feather boa’s; it has in fact been Little Red Hen and her friend! The children have enjoyed caring for them, watching them carefully and discussing, with the adults, what they can notice about them.

The hens have seemed to be very happy with us as they have been laying eggs, however, they are now back off to Shenton’s Farm to be back with their feathery friends. A special thank you to Kate at Shenton's Farm for providing such a special experience for the children in reception.
