‘Lambing’ around in EYFS

Lesson: Understanding the World

Spring seems to have finally arrived and with the sun shinning today, Reception took the opportunity to look for signs of Spring in our outdoor area. As well as finding flowers, buds and birds we also had two very special visitors...lambs. They were only 2 days old and were called 37 and 38. We were able to get up close and stroke them, the teachers even got to have a cuddle. We had our own personal farmer to ask questions and we enjoyed finding out the little lambs, shame we couldn’t came them at school. Thank you to the Shenton’s family who made this possible, it was fantastic experience.
