KS2 Remembrance Day Assembly

Lesson: PSHE and citizenship

Key Stage 2 Assembly : Remembrance Day Assembly

Early this last week, we were pleased to welcome Reverend Eddie, from our local church, St Bartholomew's church to our school. It was his first visit since his inauguration earlier in the year.

As his first assembly Reverend Eddie delivered an assembly about Remembrance and pointed out the importance of everyone being valued, being equal and treating others fairly. He reflected upon the symbol of remembrance at this time of year, the poppy.

At the end of this assembly, the children were very fortunate to be able to listen to Mr Bailey play 'The Last Post' which was very moving.
