Knights and Castles

Lesson: Design and technology

This week we have used the theme 'Knights and Castles' to inspire our Design and Technology work. We started the week researching a variety of castles. We then followed a design brief which stated that we had to create a castle that could hold a toy princess, as well as allowing her to enter and leave as she pleased. We had great fun problem solving and trying out various ideas. We then thought about how to defend our castles and created catapults as a result. We've had a great week and really enjoyed the designing, making and evaluating process.
