Hens, the number 3 and storytelling!

Lesson: EYFS

We have had another busy, fun-filled week in R1 this week!
We have some friendly, feathered visitors to look after at the moment! The children have loved checking our hens are happy by giving them food and water, as well as sticks and leaves to scratch around in. Next week we will be continuing our learning about the hens and using the story The Little Red Hen.

In Maths this week we have been learning all about the number three; how to recognise it, make it, form it and how a triangle has three sides. To show our understanding of the number three the children made art work all about the number three and created their own number 3 numberblock.

In English after learning and reading the story of ‘Joey and the Deep, Dark hole’ the children planned their own versions of the story and verbally retold them. They were absolutely fantastic at using all of the new story language we have learnt. Well done everyone!
