Our first week in Year 2!

We have had a fantastic first week in 2W, settling in and getting to know our new classroom and year group. We have all settled in really well and impressed Miss Wortley and Miss Young.

We created detailed self- portraits for our cloakroom, agreed on a number of class rules and even completed a scavenger hunt to get to grips with our new learning area and classroom.

For our first English lesson, we had to discuss and make connections between a number of mysterious objects and settings. The photos and objects were clues from our new story this half term. There were some super questions asked! Our writing this half term will be based around the story - The River, by Max Martin.

In Maths, we reviewed numbers to 20 and then 50, ready to start learning about numbers 100 next week.

In PSHE, we discussed what is meant by 'fair' and 'unfair' and in Geography we observed and discussed the weather (which has been very unpredictable this week)
