In Class 9 we have been interviewing each other as an alternative to writing a personal profile. We had to come up with interview questions and then try to answer them off the cuff but using some target vocabulary: the connectives however, although, therefore, when, if, because and so. When the children become familiar with using these connectives in their speech hopefully they will then use them in their writing!
