Fairy Tale Fun in R1
Its been all about Once upon a time... and happily ever after this term. We have read a number of fairy tales such as Jack and The Beanstalk, Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, Three Billy Goats Gruff, Goldilocks and The Three Bears and The Three Little Pigs but our favourites have been the stories with a twist such as The Three Wolves and The Big Bad Pig and Goldilocks and The Three Dinosaurs!
We have been doing lots of role play to retell the story and are learning how to use expression and body language to act as the different characters, which makes it more fun and interesting to watch. We have also retold the stories without words just actions which was really good fun. In Maths we have looked at adding and subtracting and are now working on applying our skills to problem solving. We have also produced some fantastic work in the form of art, on the iPads, writing and music.
