Year 6 investigated which conditions would speed up mould growth by placing a hand on slices of white bread and leaving them in different locations.

The investigation proved that mould spores were more likely to grow in the dark and warm conditions of the cupboard, whereas mould growth was not evident on the slices that had been left in cold locations.
