Exploring the world

The children in EYFS have been learning all about our world today thinking about their favouite places such as the beach, the park or home, where they have been to with their families in the past and also thinking about the different living and non living things around us.

We listened to and discussed the stories 'Dinsoaurs and all that rubbish' and 'George saves the world by Lunchtime' to help us think about how beautiful our planet is and how it is important it is look after it. The books also helped us learn different ways to look after the world such recycling and saving electricity.

Some of our activities for the day were writing about their favourite living things, creating art work of the world around them and also sorting objects into living and non-living groups. It was a great day and hopefully the children can remember the 4 R's - Recycle, Reduce, Reuse and Repair!
