Doctor Who Week

Class 6 recently revelled in a Doctor Who week in the run up to the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who. We did portrait work in Art based around the recently commissioned stamps of the eleven Doctors, listened to music for the 2013 Doctor Who prom in Music looking at tempo (speed), did Doctor Who based word problems for multiplication in Maths and rewrote the story of 'The Box Under the Tree' by Robert Shearman for the Doctor Who Storybook 2008. On the Monday we spent a good portion of the morning listening to and acting out the story before we finally rewrote the story in our WOW writing sessions on a Friday. The children were treated to a specially edited video of their drama which included narration by one of the children.
