Dinosaurs take over R1 and R2
Our English focus for the past two weeks has been around the hatching of some very special eggs! That's right our three dinosaur eggs have hatched; it has been a very exciting couple of weeks and the children have shown great care in looking after them by providing spinach leaves and water for them. We are just hoping our last egg won’t be a meat eating T-Rex as it may want to eat the teachers or our other pet dinosaurs…!After these very exciting moments, the children independently used non-fiction books to research our new additions and write a sentence about them.
Within Maths, we have been learning about how to use pictograms and create our own. The children worked together in groups to create pictograms based on their favourite dinosaurs.
