It is Design and Technology Theme Week and 2A are creating hand puppets! Our design brief was to make a puppet to sell in a toy shop so our first task was to research all about the history of puppets and find out about the different types of puppets there are in the world. We planned and drew three different designs and then chose our favourite design, giving reasons why. Next we drew our template on card and then transferred it to the felt and cut it out. After that we practised sewing running stitches with a needle and thread on binka before moving on to stitching our own puppets!
