Debating
Lesson: PSHE and citizenship
On Friday, we talked about how we communicate our opinions well - especially if we disagree with someone! We looked at a range of topics and stood next to signs around the class to show whether we agreed or disagreed with the statement on the board. Some people were neutral and we learnt that this means they neither agree nor disagree or that they are undecided. We then worked in teams and had a debate. Each team tried to persuade the neutral people to choose a side! It was great fun but also challenging to speak for a whole minute on an opinion. The neutral people then judged which side had put forward the better reasons to help them decide on the side they joined.
