Class 4J - Science

This week, the children continued their work the their 'Big Build' project. They reviewed their discoverines relating to their card bridge structure investigations last week and then moved onto looking at alternative ways of strengthening structures to bear increasing amounts of weight. They used doubling up, corrugation and rolling techniques as ways to strengthen card structures.

Following on from this, they explored the use of triangular structures as a strengthening technique. This was trialled using some fun equipment this week namely spaghetti and mini marshmallows, Great fun and great efforts!
