The Big Builtd Project

In Science after half term break, the children were introduced to the new unit of work, 'The Big Build'. Th children were asked to think about any bridges that they know or are aware of and whether they knew anything about bridges and their structures. The children were shown a range of different famous bridges and discussed the different structures used.

Following on from this, the children were given a task to investigate ways to hold up increasing amounts of weight using books and a piece of white card. The children trialled different methods that they could come up with as a team.
