Class 4J- States of Matter

Today the children began investigating how materials can change from one state to another. They discussed and explored an reversible change and considered how and when chocolate changes from one state to another. 

The children were asked to measure and observe chocolate when warmed up within a foil tin. They measured the temperature of the chocolate every minute. Simultaneously, the class were also comparing three types of chocolate: milk chocolate, white chocolate and dark chocolate. Further work to be undertaken to discuss and compare the results from each group whereupon the children will produce graphs to help them analyse their results.
