Class 4J - Romans
In History, the children in Year 4 were looking at considering how the Romans managed to defend themselves in Britain. The children studied two pictures of a fort and learnt about the infamous Hadrian's Wall which spans 75 miles. The children were asked to use a plan of a Roman fort to label the important parts of an equivalent pictorial image. The children then studied and extracted information from an inscription left on a Roman tablet which described the state of the armour of the Britons at the time.
