Class 4J - RE Week
Lesson: Religious education
Class 4J: Religious Education
During our RE Week, pupils in Year 4 began to address their big question: How important is the relationship between God and the Jewish people.
Whilst studying this unit, the children were asked to learn about how Judaism began and two key founders of the faith: Abraham and Moses. The children were asked to recount the story of Abraham and Sarahbabd then went on to create their own set of 10 Commandments following a summary of the story of Moses' exodus from Egypt.
Later on, the children were introduced to some key Jewish artefacts and objects. Towards the end of the unit, children were fortunate enough to listen to Ms Berger who is Jewish talk about her faith. The children went on to ask her some very reflective and respectful questions about Jewish practices in her every day life.
