This week, the children in Year 4 considered how to be assertive. They were asked to listen to the story, 'Dogs Don't Do Ballet' and think about how the dog felt when he was told that he wasn't allowed to do ballet even though he really wanted to!

The children were asked to consider and apply this to other contexts of their own when they have been told that they cannot do something. We also discussed the best way to be assertive in a polite and respectful manner!
