Class 4J- PSHE
Lesson: PSHE and citizenship
Class 4J- PSHE
This half term we have been considering ways in which to express our feelings and opinions, and the importance of doing this. We also have considered the importance of listening to others and proving support and advice to others.
This week we explored the ways to discuss personal opinions through the vehicle of debating. Five children were chosen to be the 'neutral' judges and to be on a judging panel.
The rest of the class were given a selected topic( chosen randomly from a set of potential statements). They were asked to individually decide as to whether the agreed, strongly agreed, disagreed or strongly disagreed. Having made their decision, the children collectively had to come up with their reasons to support their judgement. A spokesperson was chosen within each group to present their case to the judges.
Super involvement by all- well done,
