Year 4 Maths

This week in maths, pupils in Mrs Jones’ class continued their work on understanding decimals. They worked on linking decimals to fractions and converting these. We compared the whole number place value grid from the start of the year to the newer decimal number grid. We discussed the value of digits within each column. The children then used a place value grid to help to support them dividing a one digit number by 10 thereby making the number ten times smaller.
