CLASS 4J - Division

The pupils in Class 4J have been learning about what division is. They have, during the week, explored the fact that sharing and grouping are different. They have enjoyed dividing counters and multi-link cubes to help them understand this difference. They have also begun to come up with an agreed statement about what division is:

‘Division is the sharing or splitting of a number, amount or quantity into equal groups or parts.’
