CALDER INSPIRED MOBILES

Following the pupils' initial introduction to using wire to create masks and jewellery, the children went on to begin to study Alexander Calder's many mobiles. The children were given a number of pieces of thin wire, card, paper clips and coloured paper and set about trying create their own mobile versions. The children worked with such concentration in their efforts to balance the organic shapes that they had created-no easy task!
