Class 4J - Mexican Yarn Art

Class 4J

During the first day of this week’s PE and Art theme week, the children have enjoyed starting to learn to create Mexican Yarn Artwork. To begin with, the children looked at and discussed a number of images of Yarn Art and discussed the technique used. They then went on to plan out their designs which needed to reflect Mexican imagery used within the pieces looked at.

Following this, the children then transferred their design onto card and began to position and glue their yarn. The process is quite fiddly and intricate. They willl continue to develop their pieces tomorrow.
