Christingle and The Number 5

Lesson: EYFS

This week we have really enjoyed being back at school and we have been extremely busy this week! We have started to feel festive in the class room as Buddy the Elf has begun visiting us each day. He brought with him some Christmas decorations and lots of Christmas stories for us to enjoy in the classroom. We have begun practising for our Nativity production which has been lots of fun. In Maths we have been learning about the  number 5 and have practised counting out 5 objects from a larger group, writing the number 5 and have begun to investigate the composition of 5. We have also been learning all about Christingle this week. The children have enjoyed learning about what each part of the Christingle represents and have created their own Christingle art work. We ended the week with a virtual Christingle celebration with the other Key Stage 1 classes.
